Penny Awards

The Penny Awards, named after Brisbane artist, Penny Everingham, are held annually at the College. This Awards night provides students, who wish to extend themselves in the area of Drama, the opportunity to perform a monologue or duologue before an audience and panel of adjudicators. The guest adjudicators are working professionals in the Arts and provide students with positive and constructive feedback. Students are critiqued on voice, movement, character, use of space and interpretation of the script.
The adjudicators present the Junior, Senior or Overall Penny Award for the most highly developed, outstanding and entertaining dramatic performance. In previous years, students have performed pieces from Alice in Wonderland, The Dark Knight, Wicked and The Diary of Anne Frank.
