Careers and Employment

The main focus in senior school is providing an enriching curriculum that equips students with the understanding, skills and abilities to be successful in their Academic Pathway or Vocational Pathway. Although, at the same time, the College provides students with the opportunity to explore post-secondary school options throughout their senior schooling. Thus ensuring students are well informed of post-secondary school options upon the completion of Year 12.

The College holds a Careers and Employment Expo on campus with 30+ organisations in attendance, including Griffith University, Queensland University of Technology, University of Queensland and TAFE; with whom the College has strong connections. The Careers and Employment Expo is open to all year levels with more detailed information provided to Year 11 and 12 students through organised visits to tertiary campuses.

The College Guidance Counsellors publish a fortnightly Careers Information Bulletin for all year levels, which outlines tertiary institution open days, key dates and deadlines, apprenticeships and traineeships, university course changes, and employment opportunities.
