Structured Work Placement - SWL

Undertaking part of their vocational education and training in the workplace provides students with the opportunity to learn in a real work environment.  Students may choose to do their work placement over 1, 2, 3 or 4 semesters.   A real benefit of SWL is that continuous experience within the workplace leads to opportunities of securing a school-based apprenticeship/traineeship while still at school.

Students have the option of attending work 1 day a week or for a week block, either at the end of term or during the school holidays.

All placements are processed through SCIPS and will incur an application fee. To participate in this program, you need to complete the SWL Application form below.

SWL is compulsory for students on an Industry Pathway.
