On Monday 20 May, the Year 11 Tourism class participated in an excursion to Brisbane City. The purpose of the excursion was to broaden students' understanding of local Brisbane landmarks. During the walking tour, students visited King George Square, City Hall, Brisbane Botanic Gardens, Southbank, and the Wheel of Brisbane. A huge thank you to Tina from Brisbane Greeters and Miss Ella Dagan (Year 11 Tourism Teacher) for making the excursion possible. Tina was a wealth of information and made the 2-hour walk fly-by. I know the students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and their knowledge has dramatically increased which will be helpful for the upcoming assignment.
